Empowering Kids to Change Their World - One Song at a Time

Bully No More Foundation Hero

Bully No More!

Forget the lecture. We use animal characters, catchy songs, and high-energy theater to shift the focus from how students look to how they act. It's more than a musical — it's a masterclass in empathy.

Our Mission

Our Mission

The Bully No More Foundation Ltd. replaces social conflict with the power of the musical, Bully No More! To keep the momentum going, we offer elementary school teachers a post-show Discussion Guide written by Prevent Child Abuse. These materials help students process the message on bullying and safety, giving them practical tools to speak up and support one another. As our budget allows, we offer performance grants to Title 1 schools, ensuring that every student, regardless of zip code, gets a chance to watch or perform in this life-changing play that helps children heal from the scars of bullying and empowers them to find their voice and speak up.

Bullying in Elementary Schools: The Facts

  • A Serious Issue: Bullying impacts emotional well-being, academic performance, and overall development in U.S. elementary schools.
  • Common Occurrence: Approximately 22% of children aged 6–11 in the U.S. have reported being bullied.
  • Early Start: Bullying behaviors start early, with 20% of kindergarten students and 33% of all U.S. elementary students reporting being bullied often at school.
  • Low Reporting Rate: Fewer than half of students who experience bullying report it to adults or authorities.
  • High Success Rate: Adult interventions lead to a cessation or decrease in bullying in many cases, with 73% of victims and 79% of bullies reporting improvement in a large-scale study.

  • A Serious Issue: Bullying in middle school often peaks as students navigate significant social and emotional changes. It is a critical period where peer influence becomes more powerful than adult guidance, impacting mental health and academic focus.
  • Common Occurrence: Approximately 26% of middle school students (grades 6–8) report being bullied at school — a higher rate than in both high school and elementary school.
  • The Rise of Cyberbullying: Middle schools see the highest rates of weekly cyberbullying incidents (37%), as students gain more autonomy and unstructured time online compared to their elementary years.
  • Declining Reporting Rates: Reporting decreases as students get older; middle schoolers are less likely than elementary students to tell an adult, often fearing they will be seen as a "snitch," or that the situation will worsen.
  • The Power of Bystanders: While adult intervention remains important, peer intervention is a key factor in middle school. When a bystander steps in, they can stop bullying behavior within 10 seconds in 57% of cases.

Teacher Tested

"What a joyful way to present simple and memorable ideas about bullying! As a retired K-12 teacher, I wish this exuberant show was available when I was teaching. Each scene and song cuts right to the heart of why it feels so much better to choose being kind over cruel. One character's lyrics summed it up perfectly: 'Gonna stand with my friends 'till eternity ends.' I support The Bully No More Foundation's appeal for donations to schools that cannot afford this program. You make it possible through grants to allow them to perform Bully No More! for free! Admirable."
